We like texture

I saw the Strokes tonight. They have taken my hearing, those NYC bastards. Well, with a frontman called "Casablanca" and a "Magic Jew" on guitar (their words, not mine) I guess I had to expect that. I GUESS I HAD TO EXPECT THE FWEEEEEP OF AFTER-THE-CONCERT, YOU KNOW THAT FEELING?






Remember guys, this is my summer of putting my best paw forward, a glamorous and financially indefensible lifestyle.

But there's more!

Ever heard of www.domkop.blogspot.com? Well, I hadn't until today. These guys review some of the worst blogs in South Africa. And I'm on their site! Is this my first shy and wobbly step in the public eye you guys? Or am I totally looking past the fact that Menasseh (the reviewer) said: "I’m truly sitting here trying to figure out what to say, something good, uplifting, but I’ve got nothing."

Ouch indeed.

If I think of a steaming counter-diss, I will soon, but see, I think the premise behind their site ain't so bad. And there was a bit of constructive criticism: I do, indeed, have layout problems. But the green stays, senor!

In the end, I remain flattered that my modest blog attracted attention from another very modest blog, and got free publicity in the proccess. Remember, publicity comes in two flavours, Bad and Even Better.

Well ouch, Niel. But did you read some of his other reviews? The guy can barely put a sentence together, and most of them are grammatically incorrect. :-P I guess everyone's entitled to their own opinion, even if it's wrong. :-)

And what's wrong with not tweaking the blog's skin? I liked the old green better. This one is kinda harsh and makes me jumpy.
